Service-Learning: Community

Service-Learning and Volunteer Services is always looking for new community partnerships. We work closely with community agencies to meet authentic community needs while offering students opportunities for civic opportunities for civic engagement and quality volunteer experience.

We provide students with lists of agencies that we have determined meet the requirements for hosting student volunteers and distribute a weekly listserv of current volunteer opportunities in the community. Our Community Challenge also gives students one-time volunteer opportunities that meet local community needs.

We also partner with agencies and professors to arrange Service-Learning experiences in which the student’s service is tied to a particular course and discipline, providing students with meaningful engagement with the course content.
